Took an amazing trip with some amazing friends out to Colorado for a week. I live in Tennessee and being able to head out west had me excited beyond words. The landscape is completely different from the trees to the mountains and in between. I don't get to travel much anymore so having this opportunity was a huge blessing. Thank you to my friends for inviting me out!
We flew into Montrose, which has one of the smallest airports I've ever been in. The smallest I've been in was Sioux City, IA. You walk in the front door and you're at your gate. We hit some turbulence coming in, which is normal coming from the east because of the ridge you have to cross over if you're coming from Dallas. I prayed for a good minute that I could see my children again. HAHA. I made a short video of our flight out there. Check it out and subscribe to my Youtube!
Our first stay was in Telluride. Now when you talk about falling in love with a little town, Telluride is what you think of. This historic little place nestled between the biggest mountains all around. I couldn't capture it's beauty with justice, but I tried my best. I could not believe the amount of snow that was around. Thigh deep snow.
Next stop was Lake City. A 2 hour drive from Telluride. This felt like the old west. Small town, friendly people and the food was exceptional. Check out this short video I did in just capturing the landscape and beauty of Colorado.
